Dental Assisting

Dental Assisting is a one-summer and two-term program leading to a certificate of achievement. It qualifies students for the National and State Board Examinations in certified and registered dental assisting. Clinical experience is given under the supervision of Contra Costa College dental assisting faculty in cooperating dental practices and School of Dentistry dental clinics. Students must earn a grade of "C" or better in all courses to continue in and to graduate from the program. Information regarding the program may be obtained from the Dental Assisting Department (AA-206), the LAVA Division (Library) or the Nursing Department (HS-103).
