Contra Costa College women's basketball teams have won more games than any other Northern California Community College women's squad over the past three years. The Comets lost to Ventura College 70-66 in the 2001 state championship game. The team always has an up-tempo, all-out style of play that may take them back to the 2003 state tournament, scheduled for March 14-16 in San Diego.
