Student Learning Outcomes

The primary purpose of Contra Costa College, as an Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges accredited institution, is to foster learning in its students. In this regard, Contra Costa College ensures that its resources and processes support student learning, by continuously assessing that learning, in pursuit of institutional excellence and improvement. In doing this, Contra Costa College maintains ongoing, self-reflective dialogue about its quality and improvement consistent with the guidelines of its stated mission. The assessment of student learning outcomes at Contra Costa College, part of the Institutional Effectiveness Plan, is a faculty-driven process that has the college’s mission statement as its core.
